Banana Cream Pie Pops
If you have a sweet tooth like me, it’s nice to have small bites to satisfy that feeling! If you love banana cream pie, this is perfect for you so you don’t have to indulge in a huge slice OR the entire pie! The twist on these pie pops is that it’s a frozen bite, which is perfect for summer! It might be small, but it is mighty! I included all the usual ingredients you would find in a banana cream pie, but condensed.

-One box banana pudding mix
-2 cups milk
-1 cup vanilla wafers
- 3 full size Hershey chocolate bars
-Cool Whip topping (for dipping)
-One banana
Tools
-Popsicle sticks
-Silicone ice cube tray
-Ziplock sandwich baggie
-----------------------------------------------------
Directions:
Step#1
Begin by making your banana pudding by whisking box mix with 2 cups cold milk. Place in refrigerator to set.
Step#2
Place vanilla wafers in a Ziplock sandwich baggie. Remove air from bag and seal. On a cutting board and using a mallet, pound those cookies into crumbs! Place in small bowl and set aside.
Step#3
Slice banana into small discs.
Step#4
Spoon in your set pudding half way up into the silicone ice tray. Add banana slice in the middle, sprinkle some vanilla wafer crumbs on top and cover exposed banana with more pudding. Place in freezer for one hour.
Step#5
Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until melted and smooth.
Step#6
Remove frozen pudding out from freezer and insert the popsicle stick. Using a spoon, dip in melted chocolate and then in remaining cookie crumbs.
Step#7
Place on parchment paper on top of a plate and freeze another 15 minutes before serving.
FUN FACT: When making pudding, you must use milk! If you use a substitute such as almond milk, soy milk etc, it will be very difficult to set. This is due to the amount of calcium in the milk interacting with the thickening agents in the pudding mix.
