Green Bean Wreath Salad

Do you eat your veggies? Here’s a super tasty way to get a good serving of veggies that will have you asking for seconds! This is my simple twist on the classic green bean casserole we all know and love.

I thought this would be perfect for the holidays because of the vibrant colors that remind me of a holiday wreath! You don’t need much for this recipe, except your appetite!

Ingredients:

3 cans of French Style Cut green beans

10 cherry tomatoes

10 yellow tomatoes

1 package of sliced almonds (toasted)

1 packet “Good Seasons” zesty Italian salad dressing mix

Balsamic vinegar

Olive oil

Tools:

Salad dressing cruet (you can get one that comes with the Good Seasons salad dressing packet)

Step#1

This is very difficult ;) open 3 cans of green beans and dump them in a serving bowl!

Step#2

Lightly toast your almonds in the oven at 300 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes. Check on them in the middle of baking because they can burn quickly!

Step#3

Slice all of the tomatoes in half and arrange them around the green beans to resemble ornaments on a wreath

Step#4

Mix all of your ingredients to make the dressing, which is on the back of the packet (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, water, an entire contents of packet).

Step #5

Arrange your toasted almonds (or walnuts if you prefer) in the center of your "wreath" salad, drizzle with the mixed dressing and serve! The nice thing about this dish is that it can be served warm or cold!

FUN FACT: There are several names for green beans, like string beans or snap peas. Also, all the healthy benefits live inside the tiny beans inside the pods!
